Attorney Timothy M. Netkovick of Royal, P.C. presented a seminar on October 6, 2017, on the Family and Medical Leave Act.

Employers are well aware of the challenges presented by FMLA and need to be familiar with the provisions of the act in order to be able to respond to all employee requests, from intermittent FMLA leave to unforeseen FMLA leave. Those in attendance included Upper Management, HR Professionals, and Supervisors.

They learned: Notice requirements under the FMLA, and responsibilities of both employers and employees in order to comply with the FMLA. In particular, the harsh penalties for employers for FMLA violations.

This event was hosted by the Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce, and was held at the Holiday Inn Express in Westfield, MA.
