Tackling the Legal Issues in Bringing Employees Back to the Brick and Mortar Workspace

Published:  May 15, 2020

States are establishing plans for reopening their economies. For example, Massachusetts is slated to allow certain businesses to return to their physical locations beginning as early as Monday, May 18. Then, an apparent phased-in process permitting more brick and mortar re-openings is planned to occur over some period of time.

Such re-openings will be highly regulated, making compliance with any regulations imperative from both a legal and public relations standpoint. It is therefore essential for companies to begin proactive planning now that will address the myriad of issues in re-opening workspaces and bringing employees back into them.

Royal attorneys conducted a webinar on Friday, May 15 from 9 to 10 a.m. and discussed the following issues:

• Provide an overview of state and federal guidelines and mandates
• Flag legal compliance and liability issues
• Tackle difficult scenarios such as how to manage employees with health conditions, in high-risk groups, or who are afraid to return to work at a physical location
• Offer practical and strategic advice

This webinar was complimentary for existing Royal clients or $30 for non-clients.
