Please join us in welcoming Trevor Brice to The Royal Law Firm team! Trevor received his bachelor’s degree from Providence College, and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.



Trevor has regularly advised and represented clients in state and federal courts, as well as at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD), the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities (CHRO), and other state agencies.  He moved to Western Massachusetts after working for a large company in the Boston area.  This work has provided Trevor with a detailed understanding of the difficult scenarios employers face when defending claims of discrimination, harassment, wrongful terminations and allegations of violations of FMLA.

Royal Attorneys Secure Summary Judgment at Massachusetts Appeals Court

Our attorneys successfully obtained summary judgment in favor of the Defendant from the Massachusetts Appeals Court in a Wage Act and contract dispute. The Complainant alleged entitlement to a substantial variable compensation award following resignation. We demonstrated that the compensation plan made such awards discretionary and contingent on continued employment at the time of payout. The Appeals Court agreed, finding that the award did not constitute wages under the Wage Act and that the Defendant acted lawfully in denying payment. All claims were dismissed in their entirety.
