Bio

Elaine Reall is the Chief Legal Officer at The Royal Law Firm. Elaine has been an active employment and labor law attorney since 1979. Her specialties include collective bargaining, mediation, personnel and employment law, nonprofit by-laws and employment issues, and the representation of educational institutions, municipalities, and businesses in discrimination matters.


From 1995 onwards Elaine represented a wide variety of not-for-profit organizations and municipalities in Labor and Employment matters. She served as long time Labor Counsel for both the City of Northampton and the City of Easthampton. In addition, Elaine served as Northampton City Solicitor under Mayor Clare Higgins and Mayor David Narkewicz.


Elaine received her J.D. from Syracuse University’s College of Law; where she was Lead Articles and Research Editor of the Syracuse Law Review and where she taught Legal Research and Writing to first year law students. She received her B.A., with honors, from American International College.


Throughout her career Elaine has taught a wide variety of legal and labor relations courses. The Colleges and Universities where she has taught include Western New England Law School, the University of Massachusetts [Hotel, Restaurant & Travel Department], Westfield University, American International College, Greenfield Community College, Holyoke Community College, and The American Banker’s Association [During her tenure as Associate General counsel at Springfield Institution for Savings]. She also specializes in the area of in-house supervisory and managerial training.


Elaine has prepared a wide variety of employment related documents including employee handbooks and supervisory manuals, affirmative action plans and policies, collective bargaining agreements, training materials and employment contracts and severance packages.


Her community involvement has been extensive and includes service on a wide variety of not-for-profit and commercial boards. She was elected to and served as a Trustee of Forbes Library, currently serves as a Board Member of the Lathrop Community, has served as a member of the Board of Community Action and was a Founding Board Member of The Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter School.
